From the beginning, when the Reliance Infocomm was launched in 2002, it revolutionized the market by first offering free incoming, and then giving mobile in every house in just Rs. 501 / -


Now just four years back, Reliance Jio brought revolution in the field of mobile data and is now going to bring a new revolution through Smart Homes, broadband, IP-TV etc. through Jio Giga fiber.

Jio Gigafiber is based on FTTH (Fiber to the Home) concept, where the opticle fibre is laid from the nearest node to the customer's premise equipment which is also called ONT (Optical Network terminal). 

The opticle fibre can theoretically provide unlimited bandwidth and speeds. And in case of Jio Gigafibre customer it will provide a speed of 100 mbps to 1 gpbs.

This high speed will give customers not only high speed broadband internet but also, ultra high definition voice (through landline phone and mobile app) and also IP TV which will provide superlative ultra HD experience to the users. 

And not only it would be a simple television, it will be giving the users the choice and freedom to watch the tv shows and digital content whenever they want not necessarily on a specific day and time.

Also, there is going to be superlative content and shows similar to netflix etc. So definitely older stereotypes of DTH are going to have a tougher times after the launch of Jio Gigs full fledgedly.

For this, Jio had started developing its fiber infrastructure since many years which hardly any other operator has done.
